Garden Plants Grouped by Garden Conditions, Make it Easy for You

Plants that Work® is the brand name for a collection of top performance plants that are grouped based on what gardeners are searching for and how gardeners want to use plants. The collection also includes new plant introductions that bring superior garden performance. The Plants that Work collection is available only at independent garden centers. Some Plants that Work items include:

•Plants that Work in the Sun / Shade – This is a collection of perennials that perform well in the sun or in the shade. They are displayed at our store based on their requirement for sun / shade and include tags that easily identify them as sun/shade perennials to meet the light situation of your gardens.

•Plants that Work in the Heat – This is a collection of annuals that really take the heat of the summer and continue to thrive and provide color throughout the season.

•Plants that Work by Color are displays designed to help you choose accent colors to enhance an existing garden or colors to become the main focus of a garden. The annuals are typically used in patio pots. They are of a larger size than our specialty annuals so they provide color and impact right away.

•Knock-Out Roses – Novalis introduced these roses a few years ago for their tremendous garden performance. They have won several awards and many loyal gardeners based on their successful performance in numerous gardens.

Designing a garden and finding plants that thrive in various conditions and will also provide color all season can be an overwhelming and time consuming project. Novalis has taken the anxiety, frustration and questions out of designing gardens with their Plants that Work Program.

Twice as Nice Daylilies, Beat the Heat Begonias and Nooks & Crannies are also from Novalis and complement their line of Plants that Work. These are wonderfully hardy, easy to maintain plants and flowers that provide many options for your garden.
